As per the Income Tax Department notification, income tax returns can be e-filed without linking Aadhaar and PAN till 5 August 2017. The deadline to link PAN and Aadhaar is 31st August 2017. Do note that while income tax returns can be filed without linking, the tax department will not process the returns until PAN and Aadhaar are linked.
People can visit the official e-filing website of the department to link the two identities, in both the cases– identical names in the two databases or in the case where there is a minor mismatch.
The Income Tax Department has made it easy for taxpayers to link their PAN with Aadhaar with just a 2 step process which does not even require to login or register at the e- filing website. This facility can be used by anyone to link their Aadhaar with PAN.
‘आधार से लिंक हुए 67 करोड़ बैंक अकाउंट’ : 110 करोड़ बैंक अकाउंट में से करीब 67 करोड़ खाते अब आधार (12 अंकों वाला यूनीक आइडेंटिफिकेशन नंबर) से लिंक हो गए हैं. यह जानकारी IT मिनिस्टर रवि शंकर प्रसाद ने मंगलवार को दी है. रवि शंकर प्रसाद ने कॉमन सर्विसेज सेंटर्स या CSC की ओर से ऑफर की जाने वाली आधार सर्विसेज के एक वर्कशॉप के उद्घाटन के दौरान कहा, ‘देश में कुल 110 करोड़ बैंक अकाउंट्स में से करीब 67 करोड़ खाते आधार से लिंक हो गए हैं.’ l
‘कॉमन सर्विसेज सेंटर्स का बड़ा योगदान’ : विभिन्न सेवाएं मुहैया कराने वाले ग्रामीण स्तर के उद्यमियों के योगदान की सराहना करते हुए प्रसाद ने कहा कि कॉमन सर्विसेज सेंटर्स की तरफ से 22 करोड़ आधार एनरॉलमेंट्स किए गए हैं. मिनिस्टर ने कहा कि मौजूदा समय में CSC में 10 लाख इंडीविजुअल्स काम करते हैं. उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि आने वाले 4-5 सालों में यह संख्या बढ़कर 1 करोड़ तक पहुंच सकती है, क्योंकि ऑफर की जाने वाली नई सर्विसेज के कारण CSC की उपयोगिता बढ़ी है. l
300 सर्विसेज दे रहे CSC : रविशंकर प्रसाद ने बताया कि मौजूदा समय में कॉमन सर्विसेज सेंटर्स 300 सर्विसेज दे रहे हैं, जिसमें जीएसटी से लेकर डिजिटल पेमेंट्स की ट्रेनिंग शामिल है. उन्होंने कहा कि जन धन अकाउंट्स को आधार और मोबाइल नंबर के साथ लिंक करने से लाभार्थियों के बैंक खातों में सब्सिडीज का सीधे पहुंचना सुनिश्चित हुआ है. इस पहले से 50,000 करोड़ रुपये की बचत हुई है.l
